direct current path between its primary &
secondary windings provides isolation from
any kind of leakage in Current,
Spikes/Surges produced in the system.
Provision of electrostatic shield in between
primary & secondary winding depends upon its
construction, specification & performance
characteristics.
Isolation / Ultra Isolation Transformer are
being used to protect Electronic &
Sophisticated equipments, CNC Machines from
the excessive line voltage transients,
spikes / surges produced in the system.
Electrostatic shielding helps in grounding
these spikes & not allowing to pass on to
the secondary side of the transformer.
Furnace Transformer are built in delta /
star connection with neutral as floating &
electrostatic shielding is used to protect
the furnace from any kind of Earth Fault
Tripping.
